The staff was efficient and exceptional - we will be back. Came here for 1 night with our family members, had a perfectly pleasant stay. The hotel was located in a magnificent place, nearby the train station.

I loved the delicious food at the pub, especially the lamb shank, and the proximity to landmarks like Vindolanda made my city strolls really enjoyable. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the warm, friendly service and the spacious, well-appointed room that perfectly suited my needs.

Just a heads up, the mattresses could use an upgrade to match the rest of the room's quality, but overall, it was a wonderful experience! 😊

I loved the cozy atmosphere created by the real coal fire in the bar area. It reminded me of home away from home! The meals were divine, especially the hearty Scottish breakfast that energized my mornings. And the staff were pretty good, our tables were reserved for dinner so we wouldn't miss out on their delicious evening meals.

The spacious and airy superior king room was perfect for my family. Plus, we had fun watching the football match downstairs after a delicious dinner. Breakfast was also a hit with everyone!

The Bowes Hotel is a fantastic spot for backpackers like me! The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a great view of the village. Plus, the breakfast was delicious and fueled me for a day's hike along Hadrian's Wall!

This place suits me perfectly! The free wi-fi, excellent bar/lounge area, and helpful staff create a cozy atmosphere. I still remember how they found my forgotten jewellery on my first stay. I'll definitely be back for a weekend!
